\n\nTravel RN Job Details – Cardiac Telemetry\n

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry (Night Shift)\n
• Location: Wilmington, NC (28401) – North Carolina nursing jobs\n
• Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks\n
• Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)\n
• Hours per Week: 36 hours\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:6-7\n
• Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (every other weekend)\n
• Unit Orientation: 24 hours\n
• Scrubs: Navy (not provided)\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing\n
• Active Registered Nurse license (NC or Compact RN license required at start)\n
• ACLS and BLS certifications required\n
• Proficiency with cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc.)\n
• Experience in Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Cardiac Surgery, including sheath removal\n
• Central line and PICC line management skills\n
• Blood product administration experience\n
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and remote cardiac monitoring\n
• Epic charting experience preferred\n
• NIHSS certification preferred\n
• Charge nurse experience preferred\n
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start\n
• First-time travel nurses welcome\n

\n\nCardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac telemetry patients, including those with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac cath procedures\n
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips; perform procedures such as sheath pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop\n
• Float to other hospital units or affiliate facilities as needed, based on census and skill set\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy\n
• Utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication\n
• Participate in Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters\n
• Comply with all hospital policies, including call-off and fatigue management\n
• Engage in self-scheduling to meet unit needs\n
