We are looking for a Merchant, Men's Bottoms US/CAN to create compelling assortments and manage daily assortment and business needs. You will partner with the USCA Merchants and cross functional partners to guide the strategy for Bottoms categories and bring seasonal category visions to life. You understand customers' needs and market dynamics to create the right product mix for the marketplace and segment accordingly. You will report into the Senior Merchant for Men's Bottoms US/CAN.

About the Job

• Create assortment strategy for US/CAN Men's Bottoms based on analysis of both our internal metrics, competitive landscape, consumer insights and macro trends. Deliver assortments that support brand and cluster strategies while achieving financial targets.
• Partner with planner and allocator on weekly business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions to achieve financial goals and strategic objectives.
• Analyze weekly and monthly product performance, partnering with Planning, Allocation and Sales to identify risks and opportunities; determine and guide short-, medium-, and long-term actions to increase opportunities and minimize risks.
• Present during Milestone Meetings including Briefs, Hindsight, Cluster Launch, Assortment Reviews, Product Reviews, Investment Reviews.
• Engage and partner with Global Merchandising team to ensure agreement and ensure US/CAN needs are met.
• Partner with DTC & BX teams to guide elevated on floor execution of product stories.

About You

• 5+ years direct merchandising/buying experience at an apparel manufacturer, retailer, or marketer
• Knowledge of merchandising and design trends; ability to apply that knowledge, connect the dots and create product assortments that win in the marketplace.
• Understand full product lifecycle and how multiple responsibilities contribute to the value chain to create the best assortments for customers.
• Analytical with understanding of financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory turn, ST%, weeks of supply and how to improve them.
• Excel (can perform complex functions)

This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $90,700-$120,900 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
