Davidson is hiring a Junior Network Engineer to support the BOA/OPIR/ESL team at Schriver Space Force Base in Colorado. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a geographically diverse team.

The Junior Network Engineer position is an on-site position .

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support to software integration lab
• End-to-end communication
• Making network changes to the system
• Enhancing/improving the network system and architecture
• Troubleshooting complex network issue
• Resolving discovered bugs
• Ensuring 100% network availability.
• Attention to detail and hands-on
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) related area with 2 years of related engineering experience
• Alternatively, a master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
• Active DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification (i.e. CCNA Security, Network +, Security+CE, CISSP).
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing and network design including IP subnetting, VLANs, Spanning Tree, Nexus VPC and static routing/ dynamic routing protocols.
• Using OSI model knowledge to troubleshoot network issues.
• Firewall management and configuration with Cisco FirePower, ASA, Fortigate.
• Understanding of DNS as well as network device configuration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of network security features like IP access-lists.

Clearance

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (TS preferred)
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance in a reasonable period of time.
